Terms of Use

Last Updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and utilizing the National Startup & Ecosystem Registration Portal ("the System"), operated by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (MInT), you explicitly agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately cease all access to the System.

2. Purpose of the System

The System serves as the official national registry for startups, ecosystem builders, and related innovative entities within the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. It provides a sovereign digital infrastructure for issuing, verifying, and managing official certifications and regulatory evaluations.

3. User Obligations & Accuracy

You are entirely responsible for the absolute accuracy, completeness, and legality of any data, intellectual property, financial information, or personal identifiers you submit into the System. Providing false, misleading, or forged documentation constitutes a severe violation of regional and national laws and may result in immediate suspension, legal prosecution, and permanent revocation of certification.

4. Verification & Digital Assets

All digital certificates, cryptographic identifiers, and QR codes generated by the System remain the sovereign property of MInT. MInT retains the absolute right to suspend, freeze, or revoke any certification at any time if periodic compliance audits fail, or if fraudulent activity is suspected.

5. Data Privacy & Sovereign Cloud

Data transmitted to the System is encrypted and stored within sovereign infrastructures. While MInT implements zero-trust architecture and rigorous security standards, users acknowledge that the transmission of sensitive intellectual property over the internet is done at their own discretion. MInT assumes no liability for unauthorized access occurring outside of its controlled subnets.

6. Modification of Terms

MInT reserves the constitutional right to modify, amend, or replace these Terms of Use at its sole discretion, reflecting changes in regulatory frameworks or technical specifications. Your continued use of the System subsequent to any changes constitutes explicit acceptance of the revised Terms.
